Edward R. Medeiros, 53, of Fall River, died unexpectedly Saturday February 14, 2009 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Joseph R. "Joe Blue" & Maria (Moniz Cordeiro) Medeiros. A firefighter for over 25 years, he retired from the Fall River Fire Department in 2007. He was a member of the Amvets and the Sportsman Fishing Club of Common Fence Point, Portsmouth. He leaves a brother, Liberal "Libby" Medeiros (wife Sandra) of Swansea, a sister, Geraldine Medeiros (husband Carlos) of Fall River, several nieces and nephews. His funeral Mass was celebrated in Santo Christo Church. His committal service was held at Notre Dame Cemetery.
