Edward R. Raymond, 81, of Bark St., Swansea, formerly of Meridian St., Fall River, passed away on September 23, 2008 after a brief illness. Husband of Priscilla (Lima) Raymond, they would have celebrated 60 years married this coming November. Born in Fall River, son of the late John and Mary (Mello) Raymond. He moved to Swansea 23 years ago. He was manager of the former M. Sweeney Moving Co. and then went to work at Stop & Shop in Somerset retiring as Deli manager. Father of Kenneth E. Raymond of Somerset, Russell J. Raymond of Fall River, Karen Horn of Carver and Sharron Lima of Middleboro; brother of Dolores Calis of Somerset, Rena Arruda of Fall River and the late Alfred Raymond. He also leaves 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. His funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Pallbearers Peter Tetreault, Joshua Newman, Christopher Raymond, Zachary Horn, John Calis, Dana Arruda and Steven Hanna brought Edward to his final resting place at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
