Edward L. Santos, 63, of Fall River, died Monday 7/4/11 in Providence, at Home and Hospice Care of RI, after a long illness. Born in Tiverton, son of the late Edward C. & Eleanor "Leona" B. (Gawlik) Santos, he resided in Fall River most of his life. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. A shipyard welder for General Dynamics for 28 years, he was also a watchmaker. He enjoyed antique car restoration, especially Cadillacs, and paper money & coin collecting. He loved his cat, Oscar. Survivors include: 3 children, Ronald E. Santos of Fall River, Lisa M. & Amy M. Santos both of Tiverton; his former wife and dear friend, Janet (Ouellette) Santos; several nieces & nephews. He was also brother of the late Mary C. Desbiens, Ronald J. & Gerald S. Santos. A Funeral Service was held in our Fall River Chapel on Saturday, July 9, followed by his committal with military honors at Oak Grove Cemetery.
