Edward "Ted" Tucker, 56 of E. Falmouth, died suddenly from a brief illness on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Falmouth Hospital. Ted fought a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Paula J. (Chadinha) Tucker for 29 years. Ted graduated from Fairhaven High School and moved to Falmouth 27 years ago. He was the Senior Purser at the Steamship Authority where he has worked for over 30 years and was also a self employed painter, landscaper and jack of all trades. Known for his practical jokes, Teddy also enjoyed golfing, boating, skiing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a frequent participator in the Annual Portuguese Open Golf Tournament at Atlantic Country Club. Ted was the loving father of Lauren E. Tucker of San Diego, Caitlin C. Tucker of Brighton and Benjamin J. Tucker of Falmouth and brother-in-law of Michael G. Chadinha of Swansea.
