Edwin Smith "Teddy" "Huck" Reid, 91, of North Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024 at The Cottages of Dartmouth Village following a long illness. He was the husband of the late Anna T. (Zajac) Reid. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Robert Reid and the late Margaret (Booth) Reid.

Prior to his retirement he worked as a Lineman, Electronics Technician and Supervisor for New England Telephone for more than 35 years. Edwin was a United States Army Veteran, he bravely and proudly served our Country as Military Police during the Korean War stateside in California.  An avid Red Sox fan, he also loved Horseneck Beach, biking, boating, flying airplanes, yard-saling, and especially singing, and dancing. He was a member of the Krakowiak Polish Dancers of St. Stanislaus Parish, the Colonial Navy, where he proudly carried the US flag in numerous parades across the country and, in his younger days, the Sea Scouts. Edwin played baseball and football for B.M.C. Durfee High School and had the privilege of his team playing at Fenway Park in Boston. He and his bride Anna of forty-eight years were "Snowbirds", wintering in Naples, Florida, traveling in their motor home up and down the East Coast, and enjoying Caribbean cruises and travel in Europe. Most notably, Edwin was a fun-loving and cheerful family man, who loved his grandchildren dearly and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves his loving children, Robert Reid and his wife, Donna, of Florida, Nancy Renaud and her husband, Thomas, of Mashpee, William Reid and his wife, Sheila, of Taunton, Barbara Corey and her husband, Jay, of Charlestown, and Pamela Hixon and her husband, Christopher, of New Hampshire; his twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren with one on the way; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late David Reid and the late Judith Reid and brother of the late Helene Mertzwither, Edna Gell, Thomas Reid, and Robert Reid.

His Funeral Mass will celebrated on Friday, November 22nd, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Tiverton, RI, followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River.
