Eileen Bastille, 76, of Rural Retreat, VA, formerly of Fall River, wife of the late Maurice J. Bastille, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2025 in the comforts of her home following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Quintal and the late Mary (Santos) Quintal.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a seamstress in the local textile industry for many years. She loved bingo, trips to the casino, online games, game shows, and her soap operas. She also enjoyed some traveling to such places as Germany, Paris, Cape Cod, New Hampshire, and Maine. Most important to Eileen was spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She leaves her loving children, Maurice Joseph Bastille, Jr., and his wife, Dona-Lee, of Fall River, and Lisa Byers and her husband, Aaron, of Rural Retreat, Virginia; her seven grandchildren, Cora, Cody, Dannielle, Troy, Connor, Storm, and Dakota; her five great-grandchildren, Penelope, Levi, Simon, Anastasia, and Luca; her eleven siblings, Daniel Quintal, Alan Quintal, Lori Ann DeMelo, Joan Stanzione, Daine Tobiaz, Nancy Cordeiro, George Quintal, Evelyn Quintal, Irene Quintal, Arthur "Snapper" Quintal, and Mary-Ann Roberts; and many nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, April 15th, at Holy Name Church followed by her committal  at Notre Dame Cemetery both in Fall River.
