Obituary

Eileen Rox Mousa, 84, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Country Gardens Nursing Home in Swansea after a long illness. Born in Sulymania, Iraq, she was the daughter of the late Rox Mousa and the late Jamila Razook Albanna.

Prior to her retirement, she was a teacher of English and Math for many years and was also fluent in English, Arabic, Chaldean, Kurdish, and Turkish. She loved sewing, knitting, embroidery, flowers, and music, especially Turkish songs and hymns. A selfless, good-hearted, and extraordinary patient woman, Eileen, being one of the eldest of her siblings, was the primary caretaker of her younger siblings. She also enjoyed traveling to such places as Europe, France, Germany, and Italy. But most notably, Eilen was a devout Christian who faithfully read her Bible was an extremely devoted wife and mother.

She leaves: her two loving daughters, Dahlia Albanna and Donia Albanna, both of Fall River; her siblings, Souad Mousa, Nahida Mousa, Sahira Mousa, Nahla Mousa, Shahla Mousa, Haifa Mousa, Raad Mousa, Moayad Mousa, and Wadi Mousa; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Madeline Mousa and George Mousa.

Her Funeral Service was held on Sunday, February 14th, during a visitation period in our Fall River Chapel. She was buried privately the following Tuesday at Oak Grove Cemetery.
