Elaine M. Amaral, 83, of Tiverton, wife of the late Joseph S. Amaral, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Brookdale Sakonnet Bay following a long illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Henri Roy and the late Louise (Francoeur) Roy.

In Elaine's early years she worked in one of Fall River's textile mills, this is how she met her adored husband. After raising her family, Elaine then worked for Kelly Health Care, as an In-Home Care Aid. She has always been the caretaker to many members of her family.

She loved cooking and entertaining for family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling extensively with her loving husband throughout the United States. But most notably, Elaine held family to be most important and relished the time she spent with all of them.

She leaves her children, Karen E. Brain and her husband, Kenneth, of Swansea and Paul J. Amaral and his fiancé, Kathleen Higgins, of Ventura, California; her granddaughter, Jenna Wood; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Jeanne Guay and the late Robert Roy.

Her Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, March 1st, in our Fall River Chapel followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
