Eleanor Costa Carvalho, 85, of Fall River, passed away in Southpointe Nursing Home on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.  Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Manuel and the late Anna (Mathias) Carvalho. Eleanor graduated from SMU, now currently known as UMass, class of 1983. She had worked for Merrill Lynch for many years, where she was an accountant. She also was a student aide to Paul Remy at UMass Dartmouth. Eleanor had also worked at the Judge Baker Guidance Center in Boston.

She was a veteran of the United States Air Force. It was in the Air Force that she honed in on her artistic ability, due to her career in the Air Force as photographer.  While in the Air Force, she was stationed in Texas, and went to Baylor University.

She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Fata (husband-Fred), and Joseph Carvalho both of Fall River and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arthur Carvalho and William Carvalho.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, June 23rd, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal with military honors at Notre Dame Cemetery.
