Eliza (Miguel) Tavares, 96, of Fall River, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010 after a short illness. Widow of Francisco Branco and later widow of Jose do Rego Pavao. One of four children, she was born in Agua Retorta but grew up in Sao Roque, St. Michael, Azores. Beloved mother of Manuel do Rego, Maria Fatima Frias, Donatilde Pavao, Olga Reis and the late Luis Branco, Antonio Pavao, Jose and Arnaldo Tavares do Rego. She also leaves 37 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren,
4 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Good Shepherd Parish Church She was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
