Elizabeth "Betty" (Oliver) Margarida, 84, widow of Francis Margarida, passed away peacefully on Fri. Jan 26, 2018. Born in Dighton, daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Butler) Oliveira, she had worked in the local textile industry for many years. "Betty" was a life-long resident of Somerset. She leaves: 2 children, Thomas Margarida (wife-Carol) of Lee, and Cheryl HendersonSteinbrick (husband-Paul) of East Providence; 2 grandsons, William F. Henderson (wife-Samantha) and Douglas R. Henderson (wife-Leslie); 3 great grandchildren, Sabrina, William J. and Ariana; one surviving sister, Eileen Souza of Tiverton; several nieces & nephews. She is the sister of 9 predeceased siblings. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, January 30th, in St. Patrick Church, Somerset, followed by her committal in the parish cemetery.
