Elsie Andrade, 91, beloved wife of the late Jesse Andrade passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel and Maria dos Anjos (Tavares) Pereira. A sewing machine operator for many years, she later worked for the school lunch program at the former Ralph M. Small School. Elsie meant so much to everyone that she touched in her life and will be deeply and sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by 3 sons: Richard Andrade (wife – Anne) of No. Providence, Raymond Andrade (wife – Denise) of Assonet and Robert Andrade of Fall River; a sister, Hilda Amaral; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Diamantina Botelho and Mary Rezendes. Following her cremation, a Memorial Mass was celebrated on Saturday, March 10th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Her ashes were laid to rest with her husband in St. Patrick Cemetery. Donations in her memory made be sent to Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River, MA 02720.
