Elsie "Ginger" (Rapoza) DuBanevich, 90, of Fall River passed away Saturday, August 31,2013 at the Fall River Jewish Home. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Joseph D. and Georgianna (Machado) Rapoza.
Ginger was a cafeteria worker for the Fall River School System at Durfee High School for 20 years until her retirement. She was previously employed by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Fall River at the priest hostel. She enjoyed Ballroom Dancing.
She was the devoted mother of the late John DuBanevich. Loving grandmother of John Tyler DuBanevich and Matthew Aaron DuBanevich, both of Florida. Cherished mother in law of Ellen (Buttermore) DuBanevich of Florida. Caring sister of Inez Majcher of Fall River and the late Joseph Rapoza, Frank "Skippy" Rapoza, Mary Franco, Hilda Cabral, Adeline Cerce and Beatrice Coulombe.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, September 5, in St. Joseph Church on North Main Street in Fall River followed by her committal in St. Patrick Cemetery. Her family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Fall River Jewish Home for their exceptional care and for always treating Ginger like family.
