Elsie S. Furtado, 97, formerly of Tremont St.., passed away Friday at the Highlander Nursing Center. Widow of Manuel M. Furtado. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Jose Manuel and Maria de Jesus Silva. Beloved mother of Louis S. Furtado (wife-Gilberta); grandmother of John L. Furtado; sister of the late Manuel Silva, Hortense Pereira, Estafania Sousa and Maria Silva. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, March 18th, in St Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
