Elsie (Benevides) Santos, 82 of Swansea, died on September 8, 2008 unexpectedly at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of the late of Gil Santos. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Antonina (Ferreira) Benevides. She leaves her loving daughters Kathleen Alexander (husband Manuel) of Swansea & Deborah Santos of Fall River, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was also the sister of the late: John Raposa and Joseph Benevides. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Dominic Church, Swansea. Her committal service was held at St. Patrick Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wayne Caswell, Brian Alexander, Manny Jr and Rick Eckard.
