Elsie Scolaro, age 83, of Fall River, died Thursday at the home of her daughter in Swansea. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Manuel M. and Maria (Raposa) Trindade. A retired textile worker, she was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed spending time with her family. Elsie was the mother of Richard Scolaro and Agnes Rego both of Fall River, Mrs. Lawrence (Patricia) Machado of Swansea and the late Philip Scolaro, Jr. Grandmother of David and Donna Fortin, Russell Rego, Lawrence Machado, Jr., Lorrie Prior, Leonard, Lance and Lyle Machado. She also leaves 12 great-grandchildren, a godchild, Debbie Costa and a dear friend, Trudy Eliasen. Her Funeral Mass, celebrated by Father Richard Chretien, was offered on Monday (11/26) in Notre Dame Church. Committal services followed at Notre Dame Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry Machado, Jr., Lance Machado, Lyle Machado, David Fortin, Joshua Prior and Russell Rego. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Machado, Jordan Fortin and Larry Machado, III.
