Emelia Oliveira, 87, of Swansea, formerly of Hemlock St, widow of Augustine Oliveira, died Sunday, June 22, 2008 after a short illness at Fall River Jewish Home. Born in Calabria, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Palmo & Carmella (Bruno) DeBonis. Employed in the local textile industry, she retired from Center Garment after many years, and was a member of the ILGWU (now UNITE). Emelia was an avid bingo player and enjoyed gardening. She also volunteered at the St. Vincent Home. Mother of Robert Oliveira (wife-Susan) of Fall River. Sister of the late Rose Miniacci, Elsie Belmonte, Elizabeth Bullard & Tony DeBonis. Aunt of Paul Miniacci and the late Rosemary Kieron. Her Funeral Mass was offered on Wednesday (6/25) in Holy Name Church. Committal services followed at Notre Dame Cemetery.
