Obituary

Emma E. Ewart, 90, of Somerset, formerly a life-long resident of Green County, PA and wife of the late Rev. Herbert N. Ewart, passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness, surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 3, 2021. Born in Rice Landing, PA, she was a daughter of the late John Robinson and the late Irene (Bice) Robinson.

Prior to her retirement she was a steel worker in the local steel industry for many years. She enjoyed traveling by automobile, especially and frequently to her son's home New England, and to such places as Georgia, Nebraska, and Canada. A faithful Christian woman, Emma was a long-time and active member of Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene. She and her late husband, Rev. Ewart, served for many years in the Eastern District of the Church of the Nazarene in service of our Lord.

She is survived by: her son, Mark N. Ewart (wife, Joyce); grandsons, Tyler N. Ewart (wife, Stavon) and Trevor N. Ewart; great-grandchildren, Aviana and Maddox; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Gladys Kitchen, Mabel Weiler, John Robinson, Geraldine Pollock, and Samuel Robinson.

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, April 10th, at the Waynesburg First Church of the Nazarene in Waynesburg, PA. She was buried at the Glade Cemetery in Carmichaels, PA. Her local arrangements were under the care of our Somerset Chapel.
