Emma Pereira, 96, of Fall River, wife of the late Angelo Pereira, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2019 at Fall River Health Care after a long illness. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Manuel F. and Philomena P. (Reis) Raposo. Prior to her retirement she was a machine operator in the local garment industry for many years. Emma loved children and spending quality time with her loving family. She also very much enjoyed her daily walks. A devout Catholic, she attended Mass and prayed the rosary faithfully. She leaves several nieces and nephews, including Theresa Lambert, who was also her caretaker. She was the sister of the late Manuel J. Raposo, John Raposo, Frank Raposo, Joseph Raposo, Edward Raposo, Mary Pavao, Dorothy Almeida, and Arthur Raposo. Following a private cremation, her Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, November 16th, in St. Julie Billiart Church, North Dartmouth. Internment of cremains was in Notre Dame Cemetery.
