Emma (Teixeira) Souza, 96, formerly of Ratcliffe St., passed away on February 12, 2010 at Southpointe Rehab Center. Widow of Peter B. Souza, to whom she was married for 67 years. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Francisco & Maria Luisa (Pimental) Teixeira. Emma was employed at A&A Mfg. for many years starting as a seamstress and retiring as a supervisor. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and travelling, especially to California, Bermuda and the Azores, and was a wonderful hostess for many family functions. An animal lover, she took in many a stray cat and paid special attention to her family pets, Candy & Cooper. Survivors include; daughter, Dolores Moore (husband – Robert); granddaughters, Dawn Sebastiao (husband – Kenneth), Susan Teves (husband – Afonso) and Erin Beth Douglas; blessed great grandchildren, Jacob Sebastiao and Jennifer Teves and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Manuel, Frank & John Teixeira, Mary Seroda, Maria Franco, Edith Pereira and Adeline Cunha. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Pallbearers Ken Sebastiao, Afonso Teves, Frank Fernandes, Anibal Teixeira, Leonard Medeiros, and John B. Souza brought Emma to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
