Lieutenant Emmanuel R. "Manny" Barboza, 76, of William St., died Sunday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Husband of Catherine "Kay" Barboza and son of the late Manuel and Belmira Barboza. A Lieutenant of the Fall River Police Department for twenty years and veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a parishioner of the former St. Louis Church. Besides his wife, Manny is survived by a son, Carl Barboza of Fall River, sister, Rita Dukes of Winter Haven, FL, and granddaughter Stacia Barboza. He was also brother of the late Antone J. Barboza. His Funeral Mass was offered on Thursday (10/11) in St. Mary's Cathedral. Father Paul Bernier was the celebrant. The Fall River Police Honor Guard served as pallbearers and rendered military honors. His cremation was private.
