Obituary

Eric LePage, 72, of Tiverton, husband of Carol (Misek) LePage, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, at St. Anne's Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, he was a beloved son of the late Joseph LePage and the late Jemail (Azar) LePage and the brother of the late Robert LePage.

After graduating from Diman Regional Vocational High School in 1969, Eric enrolled at Bristol Community College.  Upon receiving his associate degree, he was drafted into the military and proudly served in the United States Navy for two years.  After being honorably discharged, Eric enrolled at Southeastern Massachusetts University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management.

Eric was an avid sportsman.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and watching Benfica Soccer matches. He also enjoyed traveling with Carol and their many friends.  But more than anything else, Eric's true passion was opening and operating his first restaurant in 1988---LePage's Seafood on Brayton Avenue in Fall River, MA.  A few years later, Eric and Carol purchased the former Fall River Bowling Green property on the banks of the Watuppa Pond and transformed it into a beautiful eatery for all to enjoy---LePage's Seafood & Grille Restaurant.  Together, Eric and Carol built a first-class seafood restaurant which they operated until their retirement in May of 2022.  LePage's Restaurant was Eric's pride and joy, his heart and soul.  He truly loved every moment as its proprietor.  With his wife Carol by his side, LePage's Seafood was a dream come true for Eric and it became his lifelong legacy to his native Fall River.

Eric will forever be remembered as a generous, kind-hearted and loving gentleman who always unselfishly lent a helping hand to anyone in need and never expected anything in return.  As all would attest, Eric LePage has left this world a better place.  In his memory, let us all follow his humble example and do our best each day to reach out to others and "Pay it Forward".

Survivors include his devoted and loving wife of 49 years, Carol; his brother, Peter LePage and his wife, Tena Coley,  of Padanaram, MA; his niece, Elisabeth Spencer (husband Matthew), and their children, Leila, Mila, Silas and Grady of Orleans, MA; his nephew, Peter LePage, Jr. and his niece, Hannah LePage of Austin, TX.  In addition, Eric leaves behind many loving cousins, friends, and dedicated former LePage's Seafood employees and customers.

Following a private cremation, His Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, March 23rd, at St. Anthony of the Desert Church in Fall River followed by a Celebration of His Life at White's of Westport. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Anne's Hospital Oncology Center, 795 Middle St., Fall River, MA 02724.
