Ermelinda "Emily" (Nunes) Perry, age 93, passed away on December 9, 2014 at Sacred Heart Home in New Bedford. Born and raised in Fall River, Emily was a resident of North Dartmouth for over 60 years. She retired after 40 years from the former Elbe File and Binder Co. Emily was known for her compassion and wonderful sense of humor and loved cooking, crocheting, and gardening. Preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Marianna (Simao) Nunes, husband Jacintho "Jesse" Perry, daughter, Maria Theresa Perry, twin sister, Mary (Clara) Cabral and brothers, Manuel, Joaquim and Antonio Nunes; she is survived by her son, Anthony John Perry, brother, John Nunes and numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, December 11th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
