Ernestine Vieira, 87, of Westport and wife of the late Manuel C. Vieira, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in the comforts of her home following a long illness. Born in Fall River to the late Manuel Amaral and the late Mary Amaral, she was one of fourteen.

Prior to her retirement, she was a sewing machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. She loved sewing, needlework, crocheting, and gardening. She also enjoyed bingo and traveling to such places as Florida, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Canada.

She leaves her loving children, Steven Vieira and his wife, Rose, of North Carolina, Judy Correia and her husband, Carlos, and Mary Rose, both of Fall River; her eight grandchildren, Alexandria, Nathan, Kendra, Sierra, Jennifer, Kevin, David, and Amy; fourteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Juliet Raposa (late husband, Virgil) of Bristol; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Linda Dube.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, December 15th, at Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
