Esmeria Arruda, 81, of Plain St., passed away Monday after a short illness. Widow of Manuel E. Arruda. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel and Cecilia Teixeira. Beloved mother of Edward Arruda (wife-Laurie); sister of the late Luis, Rodrigues, Valdemiro, Manuel and Jose Teixeira, Maria Silva and Maria Gloria Teixeira. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, August 21, in St Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
