Eusebio Moniz, 77, of Fall River, husband of Odilia (Oliveira) Moniz, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at St. Anne's Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Covoada, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Mariano Moniz and the late Alexandra (Lopes) Moniz.

Prior to his retirement he was a finisher in the local boat building industry for many years. He loved gardening, meticulously taking care of his property, and watching classic television shows, especially Westerns and the Three Stooges. Eusebio also enjoyed dining out and traveling to such places as the Azores, Florida, Mexico, Washing D.C., and Chicago.

Besides his loving wife of fifty-four years, he leaves children, Sandra Cordeiro and her husband, Mark, Gorete Carreiro and her husband, Duarte, both of Fall River, and Nuno Moniz of Chicago; his four grandchildren, Kelly Carreiro, Brian Carreiro, Savannha (Cordeiro) Chaves, and Shawn Cordeiro; his three sisters, Fatima Cordeiro and her husband, Carlos, Olga Alves and her husband, Joe, both of Westport, and Alzira Pontes and her husband, Adelino, of Canada; and many nieces and nephews.

His private funeral was held on Friday, September 9th, from our Fall River Chapel with a Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his private committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
