Eva Maria (Americano) Frometa, age 61, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of Carlos A. Frometa. Born in Brazil, she was the daughter of the late Serafim Americano and the late Ruth (Viana) Americano. A naturalized citizen of the United States, she was employed as a housekeeper at the Navy Lodge at Naval Station Newport and also worked at St. Vincent's Home in Fall River. In addition to her husband, Carlos, she is survived by two sons; Anthony Frometa of Fall River, and Carlos P. Frometa of Dartmouth MA, four sisters; Sonia Americano Riveira of Fall River, Luiza Costa Pinto and Ruth Viana, both of Brazil, and Helena Padua Parnoff of Connecticut, two granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service was held in our Fall River Chapel on Saturday, December 5. Her private cremation followed.
