Evangeline "Vangie Massey" Leite, 102, of Rockland, formerly of Plain St., passed away Tuesday after a long illness. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel L. and Maria (Souza Gaspar) Pereira. She worked for many years at the former Louis Hand Co. retiring as a head supervisor in 1973. Beloved mother of Margaret Ouellette (husband Maurice) of Rockland; grandmother of Mark (wife-Kim) and Martin (wife- Tracy) Ouellette sister of Olivia Arruda, Constance Furtado, Alice Cabral, William and Lawrence Pereira and the late Manuel, Carlos, Arthur, Louis and Joseph Pereira, Della Ferreira, Justina Raposa and Mary Pereira. She also leaves 5 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated by family friend, Father James Butler on Tuesday, May 28, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
