Evaristo M. Nunes, 81, of Fall River, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Helen B. (Souza) Nunes, for 57 years. Mr. Nunes was born in St Michael, Azores, son of the late Antonio & Isabel (Medeiros) Nunes, he was employed at Plymouth Rubber Co. for many years until retiring in 1997. Besides his wife, he leaves his two daughters, Sandra Hamilton and her husband Michael of Johnston Rhode Island and Victoria Howard and her husband Kenneth of Smithfield Rhode Island; three grandchildren, Julia Schiavulli, Paige & Tess Howard; a sister Guiomar Fernandes of Newport, R.I., and a brother, the late Abel M. Nunes, and several nieces & nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, December 16th, Holy Rosary Church followed by his committal and entombment at the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
