Evelyn Amaral, 93, of Somerset, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 12, 2018. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Joseph Perry and the late Helen Gaspar (Silvia) Perry, she resided in Somerset for the past fifty-five years.

She was employed as a jewelry consultant for many years at Karten Jewelers formerly located at the Swansea Mall, and later worked as a hostess at Magoni's restaurant and at China Lake restaurant, both of Somerset. A parishioner at St. Patrick Church, Somerset, and a member of its Women's Guild, her strong faith sustained her through difficult times with inspiration and daily devotions.

Always lively, friendly and personable with everyone she met, Evelyn tremendously enjoyed being with family and friends – including special gatherings, holidays, and birthday parties – where much conversation and laughter was had. She would never miss an opportunity to dine out with family or friends at any time of the day.

Survivors include: three children, Arthur Amaral of California, David Amaral (wife Cindy) of North Carolina, and Elizabeth DoCouto (husband Carlos) of Somerset; eight grandchildren, Jay Amaral, Jeffery Amaral, James Amaral, Scott Lajeunesse, Brian Lajeunesse, Christopher DoCouto, Allison DoCouto, and Sadie Britto; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. She was also the mother of the late Donna Lajeunesse; and the sister of the late Joseph Perry and Alfred Perry.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, July 14th, in St Patrick Church, Somerset. Her private cremation followed.
