Evelyn Jacobson, 90, of New Bedford, widow of Sidney L. Jacobson, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Brandon Woods Nursing Home, after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Born in Montreal, Quebec, the daughter of the late Max Cohen and the late Leah (Eckenberg) Cohen, she met Sidney at Old Orchard Beach, Maine, in July 1954. They married in December 1954 and she emigrated to Providence, RI. They settled in Warwick in 1965 to raise their children.

Prior to her retirement, Evelyn had worked at Sears, Roebuck & Co. for many years, but mostly she was a devoted wife and mother.

Survived by her daughter, Rena Jacobson of New Bedford, Evelyn was the mother of the late Mitchel S. Jacobson; and sister of the late Jack Cohen. She was also predeceased by her beloved cat, Scooter.
