Evelyn Moniz, 87, of Fall River, passed away Monday after a brief illness.  Widow of Manuel Moniz. Born in Somerset, daughter of the late Antone and Maria Carvalho. She was a nurse at Crawford Nursing Home for many years and loved bingo. Beloved mother of Dorothy White, Michael Moniz, Teresa Barillaro and the late Linda George. Sister of the late Joseph, Manuel, John, Frank, Antone and Adelaide Carvalho, Mary Medeiros and Virginia Burns. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, April 3, in St. Bernadette Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
