Fatima Cordeiro, 76, of Fall River, wife of Carlos Cordeiro, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family.

Born in Grota do Contador, Relva, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Mariano Moniz and the late Alexandrina (Lopes) Moniz.

Fatima immigrated to the United States in 1970.

Prior to retirement, Fatima worked as a packer at AJ Wright. She was an active member in the Holy Rosary Society. Fatima was your typical vavo, she loved to sew, cook, bake and garden. Most notably, Fatima cherished the time she spent with her family.

Besides her husband, Fatima leaves her children, Mark Cordeiro and his wife Sandra, of Fall River, Anne Medeiros and her husband Duarte, of Fall River, Kevin Cordeiro and his wife Janice, of Westport, and Andrea Cordeiro, of Westport; grandchildren, Brianna Frias, Samantha Medeiros, Savannah Cordeiro Chaves, Shawn Cordeiro, Zoe Belle Cordeiro, and Javin Cordeiro; great-grandchildren, Lylah Estrela and Zander Frias; sisters, Olga Alves, of Westport, and Alzira DaPonte, of Strathroy, Canada; and many nieces and nephews. Fatima was predeceased by her brother Eusebio Moniz.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Calling Hours to be held in Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford Street, Fall River, on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 9:00 am from the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St, Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered in Espirito Santo Church at 10:00 am. Committal Service and interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
