Obituary

Faye Bollos, 88, of Wareham, MA, formerly of Fall River, widow of Philip G. Bollos, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Tremont Nursing Center, Wareham. Born in Dillsboro, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late John Homer Gates and the late Fannie Catherine (Queen) Gates.

Prior to her retirement, Faye worked in the local textiles industry for many years at the former Louis Hand. After that she was employed as a manager at a local McDonald's.

One of nine children, Faye was predeceased by all eight of her siblings, Myrtle Wilkies, Pauline Howard, Bertha Brown, Robert Lee Gates, Ethel Dillon, Albert Gates, Girlene Ledford, and William D. Gates. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including her caregiver, Diane Paavel of Lexington, South Carolina.

A prayer service was held on Tuesday, September 30th, during a visitation period in our Fall River Chapel. Her burial at Notre Dame Cemetery next to her late husband was private. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Faye's memory to a charity of your choice.
