Ferdinand B. Mirra, 93, of Fall River, husband of Maria (Rebello) Mirra, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at home surrounded by family. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Arturo Mirra and the late Beatrice (Amedeo) Mirra.
A US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he owned and operated Fred's Plumbing & Heating for many years until his retirement. Ferdinand loved to eat and was a great cook; he also enjoyed bowling and, especially, fishing.
Besides his wife of 68 years, he is survived by: a daughter, Susan Mirra of Fall River; two siblings, John Mirra and Phyllis Nardelli; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and 40 nieces / nephews. Ferdinand was predeceased by: his son, Freddy; and seven siblings, Louis Mirra, Vincent Mirra, Mary McGarty, Martha Bolling, Rose Duffy, Margaret Jenkins, and Beatrice L'Heureux.
Funeral arrangements were private.
