Fernando "Freddy" M. Ferreira, 63, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Born in Mosteiros, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of Liontina (Matos) Ferreira and the late Jose A. Ferreira.

He was a machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. He loved weightlifting and riding his motorcycle. In his younger days, he also enjoyed playing soccer.

He leaves his children, James Ferreira and his wife, Crystal, of Somerset and Linda Freire and her husband, Derick, of Berkley; five grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Jose Ferreira and his wife, Conceicao, and Ricardo Ferreira and his wife, Paulina, of Fall River, Carlos Ferreira and his wife, Germana, Vidalia Medeiros and her husband, Luis, Laurina Medeiros and her husband, Joao, all of Somerset, and Thomas Ferreira and his wife, Isilda, of the Azores; and many nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, January 11th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by a private cremation.
