Filomena C. Botelho, 99, of Fall River, wife of the late Jose Botelho, Jr, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2022 at The Fall River Jewish Home following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Francisco T. Cabral and the late Helena (Rezendes) Cabral.
Prior to her retirement she worked as a seamstress in the local textile industry for many years. She loved sewing, cooking, baking, and gardening. As devout Catholic, she held a strong and steadfast devotion to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Filomena also enjoyed spending quality time with all her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves her loving children, James T. Bolelho of Fall River, Maria Teresa Medeiros and her husband, Mario, of Somerset, and Jorgelina Krupa and her husband, Paul, of Florida; her grandchildren, Adam Rezendes, Mark Rezendes (Rebecca), Jenna Rezendes-Simoes (Joseph), Matthew Wandrey, and Nicholas Wandrey; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Lauren, Zachary, Olivia, Chloe, Kaydence, and Ayva; her brother, Daniel Cabral and his wife, Louise, of Swansea; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Maria C. Botelho, Joseph T. Cabral, Manuel T. Cabral, Francisco T. Cabral, and Daniel M. Cabral.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, December 30th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Filomena's memory to: Southcoast VNA, Community Affairs, 200 Mill Road, Fairhaven, MA 02790.
