Filomena M. Fanfa, 59, of Fall River, wife of Victor Fanfa, died late Wednesday night at home after a brief illness. Born in St Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel & Conceicao (Melo) Oliveira, she emigrated to Fall River in 1987, worked in the local textile industry for many years, retiring in 2007, and was proud to have become a US citizen in 2012. Besides her husband, she leaves: 2 children, Peter Fanfa and his wife Tammie of Brunswick, New York, and Kenny Fanfa and his fiancée Amanda Davis of Fall River; a sister, Anesia Alexander and her husband Joe of Westport; 3 grandchildren, Cameron Fanfa, Zellia Fanfa and Jordan Pacheco and many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, June 6th, in St Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
