Obituary

Florence E. Bond, 99, of Fall River, passed away Sunday at the Catholic Memorial Home. Widow of A. Romeo Bond, she was born in Taunton, daughter of the late Joseph and Ellen (Addison) Mosley. She lived in Fall River for most of her life and graduated from BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1935. A retired textile worker, Florence worked at the former NBC Garment Co. for many years. An excellent craftsman, she was adept at painting with oils and acrylics, knitting, crocheting and sewing. Florence enjoyed reading the classics and playing bingo and the slots at Foxwoods. She was also very active in the local Senior Centers. She was the beloved mother of John A. Bond (wife-Beverly) of Westport; grandmother of Jon Bond (wife-Colleen) of Franklin and Kristen D'Antonio (husband-Christopher) of Middleboro; great grandmother of Jason and Julie Bond both of Franklin and Brandon D'Antonio of Middleboro; sister of Mildred Cupp of Albuquerque, NM, and the late Joseph Mosley. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Holly Norwick, was held on Saturday, April 23rd in our Fall River Chapel followed by her committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
