Florence M. (Leszczynski) Guimond, 87, of Fall River, passed away on June 15, 2012 in the company of her three children. She was the widow of Lionel B. Guimond. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Walter and Mildred (Lorwicki) Leszczynski, she was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School and was a longtime switchboard operator at Truesdale and Charlton Hospitals. Florence was a world traveler, having been on 45 cruises. She was a showcase finalist on The Price Is Right. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially the Heritage Gang at Battleship Cove. Florence was an avid reader and loved camping at Horseneck Beach and at various campgrounds in Florida with her friends Gerry and Pat Cote. Florence was an enthusiastic dancer and enjoyed dancing at the VFW on Shove St. and the Holy Ghost Club in Westport. Survivors include a son Brian and his wife Charlotte of Westport; two daughters Anne-Marie Pron and her husband John of St. Petersburg, FL; Christine Macri and her husband Michael of Fall River; one sister Anna Byrnes of Swansea. She was the grandmother of Kelly Mendell of Westport, Michael Guimond and his fiancée Carol Ingel of Honolulu, HI and Michael Macri of Worcester. She was the longtime companion of Norman F. Brogan of Fall River. Florence was the sister of the late Jenny Machado, Irene Zanrucha, Helen Letteris, and Louis Leszczynski. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral mass was celebrated at Holy Rosary Church in Fall River. Burial was private.
