Francelina E. (Pires) Duarte, 91, of Fall River, wife of the late Joao F. Duarte, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2019. Born in Fenais de Luz, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Rego) Rego-Pires. She was a devout communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. She leaves: two children, John Duarte and his wife, Marie, of Fall River, and Mary Lou Hermenegildo of Fall River; five grandchildren, Stephen Duarte and his wife, Ashley, Mitch Hermenegildo and his wife, Debra, Kevin Hermenegildo and his wife, Courtney Tavares, Bianca Hermenegildo, and Stephanie DosSantos and her husband, Miguel; ten great-grandchildren, Tyler Carvalho, Madysen Carvalho, Alannah DosSantos, Kamryn Hermenegildo, Hailee Tavares, Kaylee Tavares, Hailey Furtado, Amaria Duarte, Damian Hermengildo, and Alexia Hermenegildo ; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Mary Lou Duarte and sister of  the late Joao Pires, Artur Pires, Manuel Pires, Jose Pires, Antone Pires, Regina Silva, Maria Carreiro, Jose R. Pires and Manuel R. Pires. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, January 28th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
