Francisco De Almeida, 94, formerly of Weybosset St., passed away Monday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Husband of Maria Irene Almeida to whom he was married for 65 years. Born in New Bedford, son of the late Joaquim and Deolinda De Almeida. Francisco was raised in Portugal and came back to this country, settling in Fall River, in 1965. He was a retired construction worker. Beloved father of Odette de Pina (husband – Jose) and Abilio Almeida (wife – Edite), both of Somerset; grandfather of Paul and Cristina de Pina and Marina Almeida; great grandfather of Jarred de Pina; brother of Emilia da Silva, Maria da Luz Pinto, both of Fall River, Carlota Domingues of Portugal and the late Olivia do Amaral, Virginia Souza, Daniel and Anibal Almeida. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, April 26, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
