Francisco Marques, passed away on December 31, 2017 in Fall River at the age of ninety-five. Husband of the late Maria (Sousa) Marques, he was born in Aqua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores and was a son of the late Victorinho and the late Francisca Marques. He was a landscaper for most of his life.

He is survived by his five children: Louis Marques and his wife Carmen, Margarida Costa and her husband Manuel, Mary Lou Furtado and her husband Manuel, Mary Joe Resendes and her husband Ernest and Nancy Marques, all of Fall River. He was the father in law of Fatima Marques of Fall River. He was the grandfather of fifteen grandchildren. He had many great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Gil Marques and the late Manny Marques.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, January 6th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
