Francisco P. Mota, 61, husband of Maria J. (Aguiar) Mota, passed away peacefully at St. Anne's Hospital on Friday, June 7, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in Provoacao, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel Mota and Gloria Pacheco. He worked as a laborer in the construction industry for many years. He loved gardening, playing cards, and traveling to such places as the Azores and Bermuda. A good natured, funny guy, Francisco was also a longtime member the Fall River Sports Club.  Besides his wife, he leaves: a son, Scotty A. Mota; one grandson, Anthony M. Mota; two sisters, Maria Jose Figueira  and her husband, Francisco, of Canada and Teresa Fontes and her husband, Joao, of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Kevin A. Mota and brother of the late Jose Mota. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, June 13th, in Espírito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
