Francisco R. Neto, 84, of Fall River, passed away on June 15, 2010 after a short illness. Husband of Maria L. (Oliveira) Neto. Born in St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Manuel and Teresa Neto. With his wife, he founded the Acoreana Mfg. Co. here in Fall River and they operated it until their retirement in 1981. He was a long-time member and former manager of the Madeirense Club and an avid fan of the Sporting Soccer Club. Besides his wife of 62 years, survivors include, children; Manuel Neto (wife-Christine), Gualberto "Al" Neto (wife-Rose), Joseph Neto, Carlos Neto (wife-Julie), Mary Hedge (husband-Ron) and Michael Neto; a brother, Aires Neto, 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also father of the late Luis Neto and brother of the late Manuel Neto and Dorvalina Carvalho. His funeral Mass was celebrated in Espirito Santo Church He was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
