Francisco P. 'Chico' Almas, 91, of Locust St. passed away Thursday of natural causes. Husband of the late Maria (Medeiros) Almas. Born in Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Jose and Roza (Raposo Melo) Pacheco Almas. A construction laborer, he also worked at Rhode Island Nurseries for many years. Beloved father of Daniel (wife-Leonor) of Centerville, John (girlfriend- Debbie Bergeron) and Francis (wife-Bella) Almas both of Fall River and the late Jose Almas. One of 8 children, Mr. Almas is survived by two sisters, Maria do Carmo Arruda and Maria Conceicao Silvia both of Fall River, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. His funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Monday, April 8, 2013. He was laid to rest at St Patrick Cemetery.
