Francisco P. Coelho, 91, of Westport, husband of the late Maria Lourdes (Costa) Coelho, passed away peacefully at home on August 8, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in Terceira, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose Pais Coelho and the late Virginia (Flora) Coelho. Prior to his retirement, he was a dairy farmer for many years. Francisco loved cooking, gardening, especially tending to his grapevines, and making his own wine. A true gentleman, he was always polite and respectful to everyone. He leaves: his son, Francisco M. Coelho (late wife, Soazinha) of Westport; his granddaughter, Grace Coelho of Westport; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Jose Pais Coelho, Sebastiao Pais Coelho, Joao Pais Coelho, Maria Pais Coelho, and Arminda Laurenco. His Funeral Service was held on Monday, August 12th, during calling hours in our Fall River Chapel. His private cremation followed.
