Francisco (better known as "Frank") V. Carvalho, 94, of Fall River, husband of the late Mary (Andrade) Carvalho, passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2010 at Sacred Heart Home in New Bedford. Born in Fall River, son of the late Manuel V. & Maria Julia Carvalho, he was a lifelong resident of Fall River. He was employed with the Fall River Housing Authority for many years, retiring in 1988. Frank loved baseball and enjoyed: daily card games at the local senior center; travels with senior clubs; and walking. Survivors include: a son, Daniel F. Carvalho (wife-Mary Ann) of Swansea, a daughter, Patricia Thompson (husband-Robert) of Simsbury, CT; 3 grandchildren, Daniel Carvalho Jr., Kai & Chad Thompson; 2 great grandchildren, Jordan Carvalho & Marc Thompson; nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by many siblings. His funeral Mass was celebrated in Santo Christo Church. Committal Service was held at Notre Dame Cemetery.
