Attorney Frank A. Rodrigues, 85, of Somerset, passed away peacefully at home on Monday. He was the husband of V. Marilyn Rodrigues, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Born in Fall River, son of the late Frank and Julia (Medeiros) Rodrigues. Frank attended Fall River schools and graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School. After graduation he attended Portsmouth Priory prior to entering Manhattan College in New York. He then transferred to St. Anslems College before being admitted to Boston College Law School, where he graduated in 1953 with a Doctor of Law degree. In 1953, he voluntarily entered the U.S. Army at Fort Dix, NJ and then spent a year in Greenland. Frank was a disabled veteran having served during the Korean conflict. Discharged in 1955, he was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Frank was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and served as their Judge Advocate for two years. Following admission to the MA Bar, he was employed by the federal government in Boston. Before retirement he was a member of both the Fall River and Bristol County Bar Associations and kept his membership with the American Bar Association throughout his retirement. Besides his wife, Frank also leaves his beloved daughters, Ellen E. Rodrigues of China and Somerset and Amy M. Rodrigues of New York City; two nieces and a nephew. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, February 22, in St. Thomas More Church followed by his committal with military honors at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
