Freida Sahady, of this city, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the age of 97. She was the widow of Shaheen Sahady, and is survived by two sons, former Judge Michael Sahady, and Edward Sahady, five grandchildren: Attorneys John Sahady and Paul Sahady, Dr. Deanna Richmond, Nicole Sahady, and Freida Sahady, and two great grandchildren: Joline Sahady and Michael Sahady. She was born at Bourjain in the Shouf Mountains of Lebanon, and was the daughter of Shaker Hashem and Tamimi Moawad Hashem. A private funeral was held on Saturday, July 11, 2009 with burial in the family plot at St. Patrick's Cemetery. A memorial mass was offered for the repose of her soul on Sunday, August 2, at St. Anthony of the Desert Church, 300 No. Eastern Avenue, Fall River 02723. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
